Elevated Autumn Basics

I’m starting this autumn business very early, I am aware; but don’t worry next week I am off on my travels again so it is not the end of summer content just yet! I am just enjoying playing with a few autumn styles to give some early inspo for you guys.

In today’s post I have chucked on an old pair of wide leg tailored trousers, which are my absolute favourite. You just can’t beat a classic staple. This cut of trouser is so flattering, and leg lengthening; super versatile and I am on the hunt for more colours in this style on the high street, I think Zara will be the best bet.

As you know, I love me some tailoring but in the colder seasons I do tend to enjoy a relaxed tailored look for day to day. I am keen to push my jeans aside as much as possible next season as it is so easy to live in denim through autumn winter. Instead I hope to opt for smart trousers and style them in a relaxed manner for the day to day; then sass them up for evenings and days out. You know, that ultimate smart casual vibe.

I am going to start introducing some more autumn basics over time, like this amazing Breton knit from Warehouse. These thin knits are so practical for the colder months and great basics to style! However I also love the fact that this one is slightly elevated with the khaki trims and dash of pink to the sleeves. An elevated basic just adds a bit of interest to a simple look.

I always describe my style as feminine tailoring with a youthful edge and this style of top really plays into that look. It’s simple, chic but has that bit of fun character which I love.

I was supposed to wear some gold statement earrings with this look but silly me left them at home!

Warehouse I must say have really grabbed my interest recently, having not been somewhere I shop ever! They have some really cool unique pieces and prints in at the moment, and I am dying to try out some of their jeans as they have lots of cool, new in styles.

Warehouse to me are starting to appeal to that age range of mid 20s to mid 30s a lot more, with a more modest and sophisticated take on trends. I will definitely be keeping my eye on their new in page for the next few weeks.

Of course I teamed this look with my beloved khaki boots and Chloe dupe sunglasses, because I mean what else do I style things with these days ha!

I have more Warehouse coming guys, and be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my fashion hauls and what I have been buying!
