  • My Guilty Pleasure | Street Classics

Everyone has those guilty pleasures when it comes to fashion. It may be a bit of bling, a cheeky low neckline, crazy fur coats, the colour pink; there is always something that you have a preference to, that others are not too sure about.

Well for me that is street style classic pieces. I find the 90s era an aspirational time in fashion. Give me puffer jackets, give me combat trousers, give me denim dungarees and I am a happy lady. I talk about my personal style [here].

Street style classics to me just have that cool factor and that bit of fun. However if worn typically they can look a bit masculine and this makes me stay clear of urban clothing a lot. It is only recently that I have found it easier to introduce my love of street wear to my wardrobe and also feel like a girl!

I look to the one and only RiRi a lot; she is the ultimate street princess and just knows how to pull an outfit together that is urban and sexy at the same time. She mixes masculine urban clothing with pretty feminine pieces; which balances out her looks. Abso-obsessed!

This is something I have been bearing in mind when styling everyday outfits. Today’s look is a super urban top with a race track vibe and that craze of the oversized sleeves, and I have teamed it with this cutesy and more sophisticated looking faux leather skirt.

This juxtaposition is my go-to right now and Asos has so many cool street style classic pieces online in a street classics edit for you to shop! Urban outfitters of course are the ultimate urban high street fashion emporium; I spend a lot of time in there! I featured another cool top [here] where I teamed it with some pretty pink plise pleated trousers. That look is what I am all about at the minute.

Oh and of course my new love is the 80s trend. Oh my god, I cannot actually wait to buy every oversized ruffle skirt, every structured shoulder dress and everything metallic accessory. Wow what a treat we have coming this season. But enough of that, I am sure you will hear me talking about this trend all winter!
