  • Statement Knitwear You Need To Buy Now

Knitwear is essential for the colder months here in the UK and this year knitwear is completely maximised; gone is the minimal clean cut knits from past seasons as we say hello to lots of detail. Statement knitwear is a key piece for Autumn Winter ’16 and I am fully embracing the trend.

Maximised knitwear is coming in the form of heavy embellishment; intense ruffles; bold colours; big prints; bundles of texture and deconstructed details. Knitwear is fighting to be the centre of attention this season and it is refreshing to see such creative pieces hitting the high street.

This jumper in todays post is part of the ASOS X WAH London collaboration, (p.s the whole collection is so fun – Link here) and it is a prime example of fun, statement knitwear for the season. This jumper is not too over the top but still has that fun factor, making it so good to style with.

I haven’t ever been into knitwear, I usually purchase a few sweaters and a cable knit jumper to last me all season. However I am totally obsessed with knitwear right now, especially bright coloured pieces.

Zara have some wicked knitwear at the moment, along with ASOS and also H&M are killing it! If you opt for some statement knitwear I would suggest simply teaming it with denim jeans and just let it do all of the talking. Chuck on some fun printed or colourful boots for super cool vibes.

Below I have selected a few awesome knitwear pieces you could think about purchasing for your autumn wardrobe.
