Guys, I have found the ultimate summer jeans that you need to buy right now!
Denim for me is the ultimate wardrobe staple. Not only do jeans see you through all seasons, they go with any other separate you own and they can be dressed up and down really easily; making them so versatile.
It is, however, sometimes tricky to find that 'perfect' pair. You know, the jeans that fit your waist as well as your leg length. Jeans that pull you in at the right places but also skim the right areas too. Jeans that wash well and are a comfortable denim. The list is kind of long of all the things that need to be ticked in order to make a pair of jeans, amazing.
I have always been an advocate for Topshop's Jamie jeans as my skinny option and ASOS Farleigh jeans as my straight leg option, but after being gifted two pairs of Dr.Denim's Edie jeans; it is safe to say all other brands are going to take a back seat for a while.
I am obsessed!
These jeans are the PERFECT summer denim. Like really! I am not actually sure where to start.
Firstly lets talk about the quality. The Edie jeans are that seamlessly rigid, but soft denim. They are structured and keep their shape but at the same time very comfortable to wear. The denim is pretty thick and sturdy, you know as soon as you feel them that they are a high-quality pair of jeans.
The fit is where the magic is with these jeans though. If you are a slim leg jeans kind of girl then these are going to tick all of your boxes. I promise! The Edie jeans are the most amazing slim fit, with straight legs and a high waist. They also come cropped which makes them the perfect summer denim, cute for wearing with all of your favourite summer sandals.
When I put these on I feel like one of those cool Scandi bloggers that have the perfect cuts of clothing that you just can't seem to get your hands on anywhere. Dr. Denim is a Swedish brand, which is probably why; but they have a UK website for you to shop from so no worries there! Costing £50 these jeans are a really great price point! I usually spend £32 on my slim ASOS Farleighs but for another £18 the upgrade in quality is extremely worth it!
This post isn't sponsored, I was simply gifted these jeans to style if I liked them but Dr. Denim are now honestly my favourite jeans brand without a doubt. I will be looking to try out more styles from Dr. Denim and hopefully repurchase the Edie jeans in the future if they are a continual style. Fingers crossed! They also have these jeans in black which are on ASOS for a cheeky heads up. Dr. Denim also design other cool denim pieces, I love their denim jackets as well.
I thought I would style both washes of denim in this post and give you some inspo on how I wear denim throughout the summer months. I tend to team my denim with white tops and gold accents as I feel it gives an outfit a really fresh, classic look. I am all about tailoring as you well know and I am also enjoying injecting some bohemian pieces into my wardrobe for summer.
I went for my signature white shirt in my first outfit; I rolled up the sleeves, unbuttoned it a bit and then tied it into a loose knot. This just made the shirt more feminised and suitable for warmer weather. This is typical of my tailored option for summer and I just chucked on some black barely-there heels and my woven clutch to be on trend for this season.
I teamed the second pair with a really bohemian style cropped top in a crepe material. This top is so relaxed and so beautiful! Again the top brings out a really feminine way of styling the jeans especially with the red lip. I also had a woven hat as I felt like this look would be absolutely perfect for holidays, a cute look for evening strolls along the beach.
I love how these jeans look on me, but if you are thinking of purchasing them then bare in mind that I had to size down one size from what I would normally get on the waist.
These jeans will undoubtedly make more appearances on my blog throughout summer so I will be back at you with more inspo soon, but if you have any questions about them then please feel free to ask me in the comments!
