I definitely see your point of view and you are right it affects everyone so no point stressing. I also like the point on the lifespan of posts being increased and that really is a plus. I don’t like the algorithm personally but I’ve learnt to live with it because it’s not going anywhere! I don’t let it make me think of my content differently but as a plus it’s helped me think beyond Instagram and focus on my blog. Instagram was always a bonus to my blog but somewhere down the line it all got muddled and it almost got reversed and in my mind instagram was the most important thing and primary to my blog. That’s all done with now and I’m back to the original plan and focusing on my blog whilst using my Instagram as an added bonus. It’s really helped a lot and I don’t stress over this darn algorithm anymore.

      Great post beaut xx

This was such a refreshing read! I never even considered that pictures have a longer lifespan and you made a lot of other good points as well. I see so many bloggers complaining and whilst I get they might find it frustrating, it gets a bit boring constantly seeing the same tweets over and over again. I’ve never really been that into Instagram and my blog is just a hobby but also I just don’t think it’s worth stressing over.

I agree on this. If your content is good, it will get engagement. I have also just followed you on Instagram 🙂

I do see your point, and I have noticed myself “old content” still being engaged with a few days later… But I miss seeing who I follow as they post! Im constantly on it scrolling anyway, so I hardly miss out. Even when I followed A LOT more people I always ended up scrolling so much that id see posts from ages ago that I had liked. But as you say, its here now just go to get on with it lol! I actually found you on instagram, or rather you found me. You liked one of my photos and checked you out! lol By the way, i absolutely adore that bag and those boots! They are gorgeous <3
